On weekends my family and I go out for breakfast at local diners. We stopped at The Beacon for the first time and we had a horrible experience. From the moment we walked in they rubbed us the wrong way. The diner seemed very rundown and not very clean. When we were initially approached to be seated, the waitress was very condescending and mocked my mothers sweatshirt. Then the same waitress was our server and was rude throughout our whole experience. When I asked what type of toast they served, I received this response “well it’s on the menu but we have ...” She also made it a point to insult my husband when he asked for a substitution on one of the menu items. They provide small portions at high prices and the food is very bland. Do yourself a favor and avoid this diner. Average food and bad customer service. This was my first and last visit at the Beacon Diner.

Great, classic diner food with great service. I had the French toast which was to die for and my fiancé had the combination plate with eggs bacon sausage and pancakes. Prices are very reasonable and I loved the old school decor. I highly recommend this place. Thanks beacon diner 😃

One of the oldest, quaintest diner in the area..nostalgic great food and superb staff

An old fashioned diner that warms the heart I have been coming for 30 years and it remains the same. The jukeboxes don't always work but the food and coffee make Sunday morning special.

Awesome food great service old establishment reasonably priced.. the first thing you see is the 50 yr anniversary sign and can understand while they are still around .. my favorite breakfast place in ri . Lunch is pretty good to all round great cant find fault with them

Found this beautiful little gem of a diner on the way back from Newport and we were blown away by their breakfast. Staff were friendly and the prices were reasonable. The wait time for the food was not too bad and though the location is a little bit off of the main throughways back into CT, it was worth the effort for an enjoyable Rhode Island breakfast.

Fantastic food in an old fashioned setting. It is always a treat to see Jonny cakes on the menu and they taste great too!
